Unterschweig

Holidays where you can nearly touch the sky
The Berger family at Unterschweig organic farm at 1,700 m above sea level in the Ultental valley were the one of the first in South Tyrol to process their produce. Today, they turn all their milk into organic cheese and feed their few pigs with the resulting whey. In accordance with natural livestock rearing, their cattle still have horns. There is even a stock bull on the farm. Every week, bread is baked in the farm's wood-fired oven and there are 80 labelled herbs growing in the show garden. The 4 holiday flats are furnished with solid wood from the farm forest.
