A magnificent panorama...

The new Bioland Alm Huber Schwaige lies in front of a magnificent panorama: directly underneath the Schlern mountain on the Alpe di Siusi at the entrance to Kompatsch. The brothers Benjamin and Michael Gostner, 27 and 24 years old, have run the Huber Schwoage, as it is called by the local people, for two years as it is the family's alpine hut. Since the Huberhof has produced a wide range of organic products for many years, it was just a logical idea to provide the alpine hut with farm-owned organic products.

Chef Michael Huber, for example, processes the beef and pork from the farm's animals, and uses the milk and other dairy products of the farm animals as well. The apples for the apple strudel are also from the farm's own organic production. "We seek to process as much as possible from our own farm production, to offer our own things is important to us," says Benjamin Huber, who is responsible for the service and the guests. What is missing is purchased from other organic processors, for example the Biokistl, the winery "In Der Eben", the Zöhlhof Feldthurns, the organic bakery Messner in Völs and the Hanighof from Völs.
